Barkindji Country · Aboriginal owned · New South Wales
Built on Country. Delivering futures.
Baaka Projects is a 100% Aboriginal-owned construction and steel fabrication company. We build the schools, clinics and community buildings that Country and community actually need, and we build them properly.
Who we are
The Baaka runs through everything we build.
Baaka is the Barkindji name for the Darling River. It runs through Bourke, through the Country our director's family belongs to. This strong connection to Country, community and culture is reflected in the way we work, with a focus on sustainability, responsible use of materials and building for the long term.
Baaka Projects is led by Lleyton Cowie, a registered member of the Nulla Nulla Local Aboriginal Land Council. The business is wholly Aboriginal owned and operated, and we work across New South Wales and beyond on education, health, community and commercial projects.
Our background is steel. Structural frames, balustrades, covered walkways, fencing and architectural metalwork, fabricated and installed to a standard that holds up long after the trucks have left the site.
What we do
Services
From a single balustrade run to the structural frame of a school. We fabricate and we install, so the detail that gets drawn is the detail that gets built.

-

-
